প্রবাসে বাংলাদেশিদের ইতিহাস, ঐতিহ্য ও অবদান সংরক্ষণের ওপর গুরুত্ব প্রধান

লোটনের ব্যারি পার্ক রোডে লোটন ক্যাফেতে অদ্য রোজ বুধবার রাত নয়টার সময় লেখক ও সাহিত্যিক গাজী আবদুল কাদির মুকুল রচিত ‘লুটনে বাংলাদেশীদের হালচাল’ গ্রন্থের বিষয়বস্তু পর্যালোচনা, পাঠক রিভিউ ও মতবিনিময় সভায় অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

সভায় লোটনে বাংলাদেশীদের হালচাল গ্রন্থের উপর বাংলাদেশি কমিউনিটির ইতিহাস, ঐতিহ্য, সামাজিক অবদান এবং ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের কাছে প্রবাসজীবনের ইতিহাস তুলে ধরার গুরুত্ব নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়।

সভায় গ্রন্থটির বিষয়বস্তু পর্যালোচনা করেন লেখক, সাহিত্যিক ও গবেষক মোহাম্মদ আনোয়ার হোসেন।
তিনি বলেন, “গ্রন্থের লেখক গাজী আবদুল কাদির মুকুল অত্যন্ত চমৎকারভাবে বাংলা ও ইংরেজি ভাষায় লুটনে বাংলাদেশিদের আগমন, তাঁদের ইতিহাস, ঐতিহ্য ও প্রবাসজীবনের নানা দিক তুলে ধরার চেষ্টা করেছেন। আমি নিজেও গ্রন্থটি পাঠ করেছি। বইটি আমার কাছে অত্যন্ত ভালো লেগেছে।

“লুটনে বাংলাদেশিদের আগমন এবং তাঁদের ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্য তুলে ধরতে লেখক কোনো ধরনের পক্ষপাতিত্ব করেননি। বরং সম্পূর্ণ নিরপেক্ষতা বজায় রেখে সহজ-সরল ভাষায় বিষয়গুলো উপস্থাপন করেছেন। এ ধরনের গ্রন্থ বিভিন্ন শ্রেণি-পেশার পাঠকের কাছে সমাদৃত হওয়ার পাশাপাশি প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের ইতিহাস সংরক্ষণেও গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখতে পারে।”

মোহাম্মদ আনোয়ার হোসেন আরও বলেন, প্রবাসে বাংলাদেশি কমিউনিটির ইতিহাস, ঐতিহ্য, সামাজিক বিকাশ ও অবদান সংরক্ষণ করা অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। এ ধরনের গ্রন্থ প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের অতীত ইতিহাস জানতে এবং নতুন প্রজন্মের কাছে নিজেদের শিকড়, পরিচয় ও ঐতিহ্য তুলে ধরতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করতে পারে।
তিনি গ্রন্থটির লেখক গাজী আবদুল কাদির মুকুলকে তাঁর আন্তরিক প্রচেষ্টার জন্য অভিনন্দন জানান এবং প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্য নিয়ে আরও গবেষণামূলক সাহিত্য রচনার আহ্বান জানান।

Emphasis on Preserving the History, Heritage and Contributions of Bangladeshis in the Diaspora

A readers’ review and discussion session was held at Bury park Luton Cafe on 28 October Wednesday at 9 pm.

The Lives of Bangladeshi British citizen in luton by Gazi Abdul Kader Mukul to reflect on the contents and significance of Lutone Bangladeshider Halchal, a book written by author and literary writer Gazi Abdul Kadir Mukul. The discussion highlighted the importance of preserving the history, heritage, social contributions and experiences of the Bangladeshi community in Luton for future generations.

The book was reviewed by writer, literary figure and researcher Mohammed Anwar Hossain, who shared his appreciation of the author’s work.
He said, “Gazi Abdul Kadir Mukul has made an excellent effort to present the arrival of Bangladeshis in Luton, their history, heritage and various aspects of their lives in the diaspora in both Bengali and English. I have personally read the book and found it very impressive.
“The author has made a sincere effort to document the history and heritage of Bangladeshis in Luton without favouritism or bias. The subject matter is presented in clear, simple language while maintaining an impartial approach. This makes the book accessible to readers from different backgrounds and gives it considerable value as a record of the Bangladeshi community’s history.”
Mohammed Anwar Hossain further emphasised that preserving the history, heritage, social development and contributions of Bangladeshis living abroad is extremely important. He noted that books of this nature can help the diaspora understand its past and enable younger generations to learn about their roots, identity and cultural heritage.
He congratulated Gazi Abdul Kadir Mukul on his commendable effort and encouraged further literary and research-based publications documenting the history and heritage of Bangladeshis in the diaspora.
